SparkGuy: On the Road Again

By , SparkPeople Blogger
Hello, SparkPeople! It's SparkGuy again. Wow, was it a busy week! I was in New York and Washington, D.C., for press tour to support The Spark, and boy, has it been exciting!

In addition to my meeting with Steve Case (AOL co-founder and a SparkPeople investor and friend), I had a whirlwind satellite media tour and meetings with my editor from Hay House, Patty Gift (below left), and our literary agent, Stephanie Tade.

You know how they say it takes a village to raise a child? Well, it takes a team--and a pretty incredible one at that--to put together a book. Along with the members and employees at SparkPeople, these women were a big part of the book.

Speaking of women who were a big part of the book, here's a photo of me and our president of publishing, Tami Booth Corwin, before I get ready for my close-up!

And, just for fun, check out these interview "prep" shot. This is definitely a new experience for me!

I did 19 satellite interviews in a row, to cities all over the country from Jacksonville, Florida, to Seattle, Denver, San Antonio, Columbus, and many other cities in between!

While in New York, I got an advance copy of a MAJOR magazine that has a cover story about SparkPeople-it'll be on newsstands next week, so I can't say much about it. (I'll blog about that next week.) I can tell you it's not Peopleā€¦ that magazine ran a story about an incredible SparkPeople member this week! Here's a SparkPeople inside scoop: Another member is featured in the magazine on page 100. Sherry (MAZZY0774) is one the brides getting in shape for her wedding--and she's using SparkPeople as part of her program. Wish her the best of luck!

I really want to thank all of you for all you've done to help promote The Spark. This is my dream come true! Cheers!
