Eat Berries

One study found that eating two or more ½-cup servings a week delayed the onset of Alzheimer's by 2½ years. 

Drink Caffeinated Coffee

Experts think it has a substance that protects the brain, so aim for 2 to 3 cups a day.

Eat Cocoa Powder

The antioxidants in cocoa powder may help boost your thinking skills. Try mixing 1 Tbsp cocoa powder with skim milk, or sprinkle it into coffee. You can also try a square of dark chocolate, but make sure it has a high cocoa content (look for seventy percent or higher on the label).
