Attention Gmail Users: Where to Find Your SparkPeople Messages

Google has recently changed the structure of Gmail so that newsletters and other messages from businesses are being filtered under a special tab called Promotions.
If you want to continue receiving your SparkPeople newsletters in your regular Inbox, you have two choices:
  1. Change the delivery options for SparkPeople messages. To do this, you'll need to follow a simple, 4-step process.

         a. Click on the Promotions tab at the top of the Gmail page.
         b. Find a message from SparkPeople.
         c. Drag the message from the Promotions tab to the Primary tab.
         d. You will then get a pop-up message stating, "The conversation has            been moved to Primary. Do this for future messages from                                mailer@sparkpeople.com?" Click on Yes.


     
  2. Turn off the new Gmail Inbox tabs completely. To do this, you'll need to change your settings by clicking on the wheel icon at the top right of your screen.


         a. Choose Configure Inbox.
         b. Deselect all categories to go back to your old inbox. (Make sure there      are no check marks in any of the boxes.) Now Gmail will function like it          always did with all messages appearing in your Inbox.



    Whether you choose to make either of these changes or not, you'll still receive messages and newsletters from SparkPeople, they'll just show up under the Promotions tab. But it will certainly be easier to stay up-to-date on your team activities and get the latest articles from SparkPeople if you set them to go straight to your main Inbox using the simple steps above.
